About Me

Beth Jackson-Pardo, MSW

👋 Hi, I’m Beth.

Im a social work educator, curriculum designer, and parent who believes that imagination, care, and community can reshape what’s possible.

For the past fifteen years, I’ve worked with students, families, nonprofits, and educators to build learning environments rooted in dignity, curiosity, and justice. I care about helping people (especially those who care for others) feel less alone and more equipped for the future we are stepping into.

My work lives at the intersection of equity, trauma-informed practice, futures thinking, and critical pedagogy. Whether I’m designing curriculum, teaching, or creating resources, I focus on learning that helps people grow not just upward in achievement, but outward in connection and agency.

My approach

I design learning that is:

Relational — grounded in trust, dialogue, and humanity

Equity-centered — naming systems honestly while nurturing agency

Trauma-informed — supporting nervous systems, not overwhelming them

Imaginative — opening space for new ways of thinking and being

Practical — with tools people can actually use in real settings

Beyond the classroom

I’m also the creator of Brave Earthlings, a project for parents and educators who want to raise justice-minded kids with courage, empathy, and imagination.

Branching Futures also includes short-term, online math clinics for college students and adult learners, led by my husband, Andrew Jackson-Pardo, a mathematician and college instructor. While our work is distinct, it’s grounded in shared values around learning with dignity, patience, and care.

I live in the Pacific Northwest with my family, where I spend most days juggling teaching, parenting, creative projects, and saying hi to strangers’ dogs.
